DBE/MBE/FBE Policy Statement

It is the policy of Kenmore Companies Inc. to accept unsolicited quotations for consideration from any qualified DBE/MBE/FBE contractors. A qualified contractor is:

  1. A contractor having a valid DBE/MBE/FBE certificate from a recognized local, state, and/or federal governmental contracting body.
  2. A contractor with a pending application with a governmental contracting body.
  3. A contractor meeting the project requirements for individual projects.
  4. A contractor with experience, equipment, manpower, and financing to perform the work as quoted and on time.

Kenmore Companies Inc. shall make every effort to solicit quotations from qualified DBE/MBE/FBE contractors by:

  1. Publishing solicitations in public media sources with circulation in the bidding project location. These media sources are determined by Kenmore Companies Inc. on an individual project basis.
  2. Soliciting contractor interest from private sources including but not limited to plan services and/or contractor association groups.
  3. Soliciting on Kenmore Companies Inc. web site.
  4. Any other source Kenmore Companies Inc. deems acceptable for project location and performance. This may include recognized civic groups, local government listings, and local trade associations.

It is Kenmore Companies Inc. policy to award contracts to the lowest and best contractor. Kenmore Companies Inc. reserves the right to perform any and all work with it's own forces. All awarded contractors must execute a Kenmore Companies Inc. contract and abide by all terms and conditions in that contract. This policy shall be reviewed annually and amended as needed.
