Construction Management
The Kenmore Construction Management Group was started in 2001 and has quickly established itself in the region with
involvement in over $750 million dollars of construction management projects. The Kenmore CM Group has assembled an
impressive team with experience in educational, healthcare, commercial and governmental construction management projects.
As a construction manager, it is the responsibility of the Kenmore CM Group to be facilitators in all facets of the project, from the securing of
financing to the commissioning of the building.

| Description |
The Exchange Street Dormitory is one of the latest additions to the University of Akron
Campus. The 195,000 SF building includes first floor retail shops and the upper floors
include 84 apartments and 130 shared rooms, which will house 475 students by the fall of
2007. This project was challenging due to the close proximity of the site to an
existing residence hall, which made the management of student traffic challenging.
The Exchange Street Residence Hall was completed on time and within budget.

| Description |
This project provided a new Honors Dormitory on the University of Akron Campus. This facility is now the home of 300
students in an honors community to encourage the learning process. The project included the construction of residence space,
classroom space, a computer lab, academic offices, social lounges, study lounges and a large meeting facility. The complex
now allows community created within the Honors College to interact on both social and academic levels. This 120,000 SF
facility was completed on time for the fall semester of 2004 and was within the $17 million budget.

| Description |
The Student Recreation Center project provided for the
construction of a recreation facility for the students attending
the University of Akron. The Facility includes five full sized
basketball courts, a recreational pool, running track, wellness
center, locker rooms, office space, classroom space and a 52'
climbing wall. Through the course of this project, one of the
older buildings on campus, Spicer Hall, was removed to make
way for this new structure. While Spicer Hall was not a historic
structure, there was a desire to maintain the history lost with
it's demolition. This was accomplished by removing portions
of the terra cotta architectural elements from the exterior of the
building and incorporating them within the new building. The
project was within the $23 million dollar budget.

| Description |
This project provided for the construction of a new four-story, two-building office and classroom complex.
An atrium area that extends out to an open amphitheater connects the two buildings. The classroom spaces
have been designed to allow for the introduction of technological enhancements. The Design Development
estimate for this project showed that the project was $3.5 million dollars over budget. Through considerable
effort and interaction with the Owner and the Designer, we conducted several value-engineering and cost
containment sessions. This result of this effort was a reduction in the building costs that was verified
when the bids for 15 prime contracts came in under the $19.5 million dollar budget.

| Description |
The Athletics Field House is one of the most innovative of its kind, boasting a 1,000 seat spectator area,
a full 100-yard turf sports field, a 300 meter rubberized track, batting cages, pole vault pits, medical facilities,
and one of the most extensive weightrooms on college campuses today. The Field House also has an indoor golf training
facility, one of only two in the country. The total complex is approximately 145,000 SF.

| Description |
This project provided for the phased construction of a new student union building that included meeting and conference space,
kitchen facilities, bowling and game room facilities, a theater, retail space, office space and a food court. The requirement
to maintain vital services and construct this project around existing utilities required considerable effort to coordinate,
schedule and package the work to meet the needs of the university community. The design development estimate for this project
indicated that the project was $3.2 million dollars over budget. We conducted numerous value-engineering and cost containment
sessions with the Owner and the Designer. This enabled the project, with 22 prime contracts, to be delivered within the $41.1
million dollar budget, while protecting the intended function of the facility.

| Description |
This project provides for the construction of a new middle school facility for the Massillon City School District.
Construction began in September of 2003 with a projected completion in the fall of 2005. This is a $23 million dollar
facility that will house grades 5 thru 8. This multiple prime project includes fast-tracked project delivery methods
and is currently ahead of schedule and under budget.
