The I-480 project called for the major rehabilitation of 2.5 miles of roadway from the
Tuxedo Avenue overpass to the Valley View Bridge and 3.8 miles of ramps connecting I.R.
77. The project called for full depth pavement replacement and structure approach
upgrades, new guardrail and fencing, as well as new lighting and traffic control.
