Underground Utility
Underground utilities construction including water, storm and sanitary sewer systems, has been an area that
Kenmore Construction has excelled in for well over 40 years. Because of our attitude of taking on the "tougher" jobs,
Kenmore is now known as one of the premier underground utilities contractors in the region. Whether we're installing water
services to local residents or boring 30' deep to install an interceptor main, Kenmore has the capabilities and know-how to
get the job done right, with the highest regard for the safety of the public and our workforce.
| S.R. 91 Intercommunity Relief Sewer |
|
Owner |
Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District |
| Location | Mayfield Village, Ohio |
| Amount | $3,100,000 |
| Completion Date | June 2005 |
| Description |
A challenging project where 8,000' of a sanitary relief sewer was installed including 31 manholes, 6 diversion structures and
complete site restoration. Originally, the plans called for a portion of the sewer to be bored below the intersection Mayfield
Road and S.R. 91, but crews encountered Berea Sandstone and contaminated soil, which changed the scope of the project. Kenmore
devised innovative drilling methods used in the open-cut excavation that allowed for safer, more productive results.
